CARLOS CARRILLO

Carlos Carrillo received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Shortly after graduation he entered a process of discernment for the priestly vocation in a Connecticut seminary during which he obtained a four-year diploma in Classical Humanities.

Carlos also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Philosophy from the Pontifical Atheno Regina Apostolorum in Rome, Italy. During his years of formation he worked going from school to school doing motivational classroom presentations, which challenged young people to live virtue in their everyday lives. Most recently Carlos attained an MBA from the Panamerican Institute for High Business Direction (Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresas – IPADE). He resides in San Antonio with his wife and daughter.

LORENDA NERISON

Lorenda Nerison holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from Texas
A & M University and a Master’s degree in Curriculum & Development from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She also received an Educational Mid-Management Certification from Abilene Christian University.

After several years as an elementary school teacher Lorenda served as the Director of Religious Education at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in San Antonio, Texas. She is a certified catechist (levels 1 and 2). Lorenda is a native of San Antonio, Texas, and currently lives there with her husband and three daughters.

SANDY SALINAS
Content supervisor and Instructor, Family Lifeworks, Inc.

Sandy Salinas holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Communication Arts from St. Mary’s University. She worked as a corporate training specialist for USAA (United Services Automobile Association) for several years before turning her focus to several parish ministries at St. Anthony Mary Claret Catholic Church, coordinating and staging numerous parishwide events and programs. She continued to hone her extensive writing, research, and presentation skills and currently serves as the parish’s bulletin editor and wedding coordinator. Sandy lives in San Antonio, Texas, with her husband and five children.

SUZAN ROY
Head of Instructor Training, Family Lifeworks, Inc.

Suzan Roy received a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education (English and History major) from the University of Texas at Austin and her Master’s degree in Theological Studies from the University of the Incarnate Word. She has worked as a public school teacher and served as Director of Religious education at St Helena’s Parish in San Antonio, Texas. Currently Suzan is an adjunct instructor at the University of the Incarnate Word teaching such courses as Religious Quest, God and Human Sexuality, Prayer & Spirituality, History of Christianity and World Religions. She was born in San Antonio, Texas, and lives there with her husband. They have two grown daughters and two grandchildren.
